The legend of Maneki-neko originated from Japan in the 17th century, when a cat with a raised paw beckoned a wealthy samurai lord caught in a thunderstorm into a temple. That action saved him from a lightning strike and in return, the wealthy lord blessed the temple. Since then, these iconic lucky charms have been bringing good fortune for centuries.
We’ve always been drawn to lucky cats as a reminder that we can actively invite good things into our lives.
